How fitness matters in Covid-19?

Well, the title makes it clear that today’s blog is about fitness. It was until this pandemic came and engulfed us that we realised that fitness is extremely critical. Fitness is personal and can have different definitions for different people. For me, it is a mind-set. But for you, it can be weight loss or working on your stamina or strength training or fixing anything which concerns your health.

Things are not going to get normal anytime soon though we hope for the best. However, one thing is sure that being fit is a necessity more than a luxury. Gone are those days when going to a gym was a status symbol for the majority of us. It's a much needed regime right now and we all need to take care of our fitness levels. Years of sedentary lifestyle, money mind-set and a constant urge to work, work and just work made me overlook the fact that my health was getting compromised. However, I didn’t bother much and followed my unhealthy habits to make things worse for me. So, here I examine some ways that can make all of us overlook our health.

  • Too lazy to change to a healthy regime

  • Too occupied to do any physical activity such as gym, yoga, walking etc

  • Lack of any mind-set to be fit

  • Lack of awareness & knowledge

  • Too much stress in life, work or college

  • Lack of resources

There can be many reasons as to why you have overlooked your health all these years. However, there have been different studies conducted in the past & present indicating that health remains a top priority for anyone and everyone after this Covid-19 has brought the world to a standstill. It is understandable that your method of taking care of yourself can be different.

Let’s discuss some health benefits that I have got all these months taking care of my health. This list is not exhaustive but includes some instant benefits that any of my readers can relate to.

  • A positive change in life

  • Weight-loss or weight-gain as per preferences (weight loss in my case)

  • A healthy vibe and perspective

  • Highly productive in personal & professional commitments

  • Stress buster
  • Better immunity to fight viruses like Covid-19
  • Getting rid of the negative elements

It’s high time that we start taking our health too seriously. The times of Covid-19 has definitely taught us that eventually it's always about the good food, healthy regime and good perspective for leading a fulfilling life though material things keep following. So fitness is not just about weight loss. It's beyond that and can be extremely personal. There is no thumb rule as to how fitness should be maintained. It depends on the preferences and varies from person to person.

Sharing my thoughts, it is very important for me to understand how my readers have been taking care of their health. Let’s get motivated by keeping a fitness mind-set.

Meanwhile, stay frowning and healthy!
